Granted to top Shi’a mujtahid, the title differs from “saint” in other religions because Ayatollahs are enlightened by the word of God rather than God himself. Enlightened by the sound of music, hip-hop producer Ayatollah applies his understanding of dope samples to show us that good music is also a religious experience.
