Return of the Cool

Written by: TROUBLMan

return-of-the-cool.jpgI could say Barack Obama is the candidate I’d rather have a beer with. I could talk about how he’s made my bad-ass little cousins pay attention to politics. Or mention how my little man, who’s only three, can barely pronounce the name right but knows when he’s sees “Barackorama” on TV. I could give 10 reasons why Obama has brought more swagger to American politics than any other candidate since John F. Kennedy. But instead, I’ll let the daughter of the late, great speak on it.

  2. Caroline spoke from her heart. She has never been a person to say much. One who has been thru a lot. I can’t imagine how she really feels. I do know I have a special feeling. Like an excitment when ever I her about Obama on TV and in the news. When I see him along with his wife and children I smile because I see something special. Caroline I feel see’s that also. Sometime people come into our lives to light a fire under us. Obama makes us want to reach out and touch.

I do agree with Caroline when she says that Obama is running a dignified and very honest campaign. It’s crazy to me how people who put their fingers on the handful of Presidents who have made an impact on our word, the way Mr. Kennedy did and make us believe that there is a possibility. I was not even thought of in his reign of presidency, but understand the impact of his work in this country….Now when I think of the possibility of experiencing it first hand, while I’m alive on Earth is almost priceless…

    TROUBLMAN——
Barack Obama has definitely made the government cool again. He’s got my attention, and that’s very hard to do! He has thrilled a new generation, his rallies staffed and fired up by teenagers and students, just as Clinton’s were 16 years ago. Now it is Obama who has made hope - once the watchword of the self-styled “Man from Hope” - his own. It is Obama who, in a state where African-Americans make up half the Democratic electorate voting in today’s pivotal primary, has black audiences on their feet!!!!!!!

    TROUBLSOME——
I wasn’t around in the Kennedy years either but just watching documentaries of his presidency still have me riveted to the TV even now. He had something “SPECIAL” and now we are seeing that same something “SPECIAL” flow out the pours, veins, eye sockets…. of Mr. Obama!!! Obama is the most exciting newcomer in US politics for a very long time and even if he doesn’t win…….his presence will not be denied. I’m excited about the possiblities!!!!!!
