in-god-we-trust-copy.jpg When “get rich or die trying” is the slogan of your favorite rapper and reverend, words like “in god we trust” takes on a new meaning. Davey D offers an interesting analysis on hip-hop, Christianity and capital. Check the video he posted of a rap group Creflo Dollar is promoting. I can’t be the only one who thinks these pulpit pimps are distorting the relationship between money and faith. Check it out and let me know.

Okay, Here is the deal, Everyday people utter words like “Why me?”, “Lives not fair!”, “I’m so stressed out.” My head hurts”, I’m broke, Why does he/she deserve not to struggle?

Meanwhile The Pastor speaks with authority and utters words of encouragement, faith, favor, money, good fortune, good health, love, and may even mention about his car or real estate.

I’m a firm believer of Speaking things into existence, What comes out your mouth is powerful! So why you’re sitting back watching someone else’s blessings unfold, you are constantly blocking yours. Life and death is in the power of the tongue…

So what, Your pastor may drive a Bentley!, So what he is well dressed! Get what you are suppose to out of the word, and get your blessings as well…

    James 3:1
Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

  2. More than prospertiy, humility is Christian. A car is a car. A Bentley is little much! Some of that money could be used in a more constructive way. Gluttony, in a modern sense, is our over consumption of material things. I’m also a firm believer of speaking things into exsistence. But what are these preachers really speaking? The message gets confused when charity gets mixed with telling us to buy more stuff.

There's a war going on. It's for our minds. The enemy-- ignorance and apathy. Strap yourself. Only the smart survive.

Cause he a nigga but he just can't accept it.
