Letter to the President

Written by: TROUBLMan

hova.jpgHov,

What’s good my dude. I’m writing to both congratulate and thank you. These past few weeks have been big for not only you but for the culture. You know us here at TROUBL stay tuned to your moves. You are what we are. Of course, you some years ahead of us, but you get what I’m saying…

First off, congrats on getting the new 40/40 off the ground. I seen the photos. Shit look dope. You had dudes from the hood on they Renaissance man with the whole Rat Pack theme. Hip-hop deserves that. Next time I’m in Vegas you can bet I’m go see what it’s talking about.

Second, I wanna say thanks for continuing to be a maverick with this music shit. We need more people to go out on the ledge for hip-hop. Leaving Def Jam is serious business, especially with the year yall just had. But from what I hear, you helping us the take our shit back.

Digital music is the future. I’m glad somebody in the industry ain’t scared to admit it. I guess some people just don’t get it. I mean, digital music is leveling the playingfield for a whole new generation of artists.

Dudes are controlling their futures with the Net and digital music. Digital music lets artists, who don’t have big budgets but have big talent, bypass the traditional pay-for-play mechanisms and still reach a large audience. That’s TROUBL.

Really, I just wanted to send a quick shout. These posts are my message in a bottle. I don’t know if you follow our blog but if I keep at you, it’s gone reach you. Either way, we here. Get at us when you can.

P.S. Tell B I said what up ; )

Sincerely,
TROUBLMan

Hi Jay-Z…*waving hands in the air*

I gotta tell you ——– A guy told me once that I was like the Black Album and it pissed me the fuck off!!! He said I had reached my plateau which REALLY pissed me the FUCK offl!!!! I told him I wasn’t a jukebox and made for his entertainment purposes and hung up in his face!!!!!!

After my initial reaction I had to go cop the CD and check it out for myself. I have to admit that I was truly impressed!!!! The Black Album lived up to the hype. When you talk about the things that went through your mind during your career I was like whoa!!!! It’s very deep and personal and so I love being comapred it now…lol!!!!! It’s definitely bound to be a hip-hop classic like MYSELF *smile* After hearing the album I realized why you have been labled the best rapper alive and deserve respect from all hip-hop fans!!!!!!

    PEACE AND BLESSINGS - Malia

Humbleness is something that most rappers don’t have, but Jay displays it. He got involved with politics by spreading the importance of voting to the youth of the hip-hop nation. Recently he’s been donating time and money to help bring fresh water to third-world nations. It takes a man that understands his position among his culture to do some of the things that Jay does.

Jay-Z has become an icon of our times. Rappers are judged by the legacy that they leave behind them and Jay-Z’s legacy is untouchable.

    BIG UPS JAY!

  5. I don’t know a lot about Jay-Z, but my son keeps me in the loop and I listen and learn from my children. The older generation don’t realize how much we can learn from our future. I was learning from my kids when they were very little. The spirit of little ones, turn out to be the Jay-Z’s in the world if you give them guidence and take time to listen.

From what I have listen, read, and learned about this young man giving back is what Troubl is Allllllllllllllllllllllllllllll about.

    Greetings Fine People,
First and foremost, I understand that the objective of the post are to voice your opinions and thoughts on things and I respect that. My comment is not to disrespect anyone in anyway and if you take it that way, I apologize in advance.

Mr. JayZ is not, nor will he ever be a role model in anyway as long as he acquires the same mind set that he have right now. I understand that he’s trying to advance himself and I don’t knock anyone in doing so…. But I have an issue with someone that calls themself ‘J-Hova’ as if he’s trying to say that he can compare to ‘Jehovah’ God. He is not nor will he ever be the Messiah so what posses you to claim that name. I refuse to rep anyone that does not inspire me to do anything positive. I understand that he have alot of fans, but has anyone actually paid attention to the lyrics in his songs. If you take the time to listen, he’s leading you down a road of destruction. I will never say that anyone is perfect, but I don’t believe he’s attempting or maybe he just doesn’t realize it…. and that goes for all rappers/singers who do not write/sing positive lyrics. Our children do not need to hear lyrics about fornication, pride, violence, greed, etc. Our children need to hear about peace, love, self-respect/respect, etc.

‘What would it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul!’

There’s more to life than simply getting money, Sleeping Around, and driving Fancy Cars! And you wonder why you have a nation of people who will rob, steal, and kill for bread and don’t respect themselves or others.

    Who Do You Serve?

SPEAK ON IT SIS!!!! First I want to commend you for telling him what you think and not caring if you ruffle a few feathers. ((H’es a grown man, I’m sure he can handle it)) I didn’t know that J-Hov stood for that but I’m definitely not trying to make him or any one else and IDOL of worship.

Yes, I have heard hi lyrics and girl I don’t have the cleanest of vocabs myself so I can’t really judge him too harshly there. I by no means every even remotely led on to the fact that he’s a role model……..mogul, yes…..entrepreneur, yes………..driven and motivated and talented, yes…………role model - *shaking head in the negative*

I would be really interested to hear Chris Carter’s response to your post girlfriend!!!!! You’ve piqued my interest!!!
