Kill Famous

kill-famous.jpg If the pharmaceutical industry insists on feeding our kids behavior-altering drugs, maybe they should invest in creating a drug to combat America’s school shooting epidemic that breaks out periodically. Or maybe its the media’s job to cure this sickness? Yesterday’s incident at Northern Illinois University capped of a week where four separate shootings occurred at American schools… We’re here with updates.

  1. I’m not getting this.
Is the like the Wild Wild West! Are these people thrill seekers, or just copies cats trying to get in the news. This is total madness. Why the schools. Is it that bad. This is much deeper than we are talking about.
I feel if you are unhappy with your life leave this earth but take a entourge with you.

Hey BROKEN SILENCE!!!! I love you girl!!! Hi A MOM—–girl, you are absolutely right!!!!!! This is wayyyyyyyy deeper than than that. Yesterday’s shooting at Northern Illinois University is indicative of a violent youth culture!!!! Generation KILL!!!!!

—-and they were in OCEANOGRAPHY class of all things. Come on people—-what Oceanographer have you ever met that listens to rap music and throws up gang signsand wears baggy jeans? This ain’t no black thing……this ain’t no hood thing……this ain’t no drive by thing…..these are some dangerous times when our children can’t take an oceanography class and live to tell about it. I know you and Broken Silence feel the same way as fellow moms in this struggle against, against, against……………..what?????? I’m losing sight of who the real enemy is. Did the devil make him do it? Was he bi-polar and off of his meds? Did his girl/boy-friend break up with him? Did he get a bad grade? Was his laundry dirty? Did he have a headache?

AND WHERE THE HELL DID HE GET THE GUN?!?!?!?!?!

  4. Generation kill…What a great description. It’s like ever since Columbine, kids in America have turned to school shootings.

    MALIA,

You’re right. Its an American thing. We need outlets. There’s obviously something infecting our kids and we’ve yet to diagnose it. I had the same question. Where the hell do all these guns come from?

    A MOM,

The schools definitely create an environment that inspire this. There’s so much pressure to achieve. The counseling is wack. The curriculum is enough to make you go crazy.

  5. My son told me he sees students crying during midterms and finals because of the pressure. I didn’t realize what these kids now a days are going thru. But it’s got to be more than just school, something is brewing. I think they get the guns from home. A lot of these kids have parents with big cabinets of guns used for hunting etc. Some buy them right at the gun shops or even Walmarts. Rich or poor We know how easy it is to get a gun. Malia I know how you feel having kids. Whats it going to be like when they start High School and College. “Bombs” sorry don’t want to give anyone ideas.

  6. Many say it’s the culture, but it’s us. What does it say when britney spears gets more coverage than the killings. think about how as a culture we are so obsessed with “. “celebrities”. WEll i’ll let them have that but i tell you its pure tom fooloery. My celebrity is my history teacher. mr Zangrilli, he taught me to dream and reinforced my love of history

Maybe they weren’t off thier meds…Maybe they were on them. What does this say to the inner city kids that are looking for a way out? Only to go off to college and get shot! Getting a gun is easier then you think. The hard part should be them getting the guns into the schools. Maybe someone will try to make a buck, and start to sell “get shot insurance” for all college students. If you ask me the world is coming to an end. Or at least it feels that way,

    Be easy people…Stay in TROUBL!

I see you BOOS!!!– Man this is getting out of control. First Columbine, V Tech, and now this? I know I’m missing another 1 or 2. They need to find out what are these peoples motives for pulling such acts? Whats the satisfaction of killing innocent people? Is it our movie culture? Is it because our culture subconsciously praises the invention? Or is it something these people lacked from their childhood that makes them lash out on such acts? It hurts my heart to hear innocent people lose their lives to a selfish bastard that couldn’t handle the pressure and facts of life. I feel this topic corresponds to the “I Gave You Power” topic. WHAT THE FUCK BE GOING THROUGH THESE NIGGAS HEADS? DAMN!!!

  9. What’s crazy about the media and this school shooting trend is that it motivated largely by the quest for stardom. People always talk about how violence on tv inspires these act. When all reality, its our celebrity addiction that makes these kids want to be famous.

We need to cover school shootings. They are an amazingly strange and sad phenomena of American society. But there’s a correct way to cover them. My mans chypher has some good ideas in his post called “*Bang*.” I agree that we cant show their faces.
