While the Democrats are working hard on their “Snatching Victory from the Jaws of Defeat” agenda, Americans are sleeping on the Republicans. The Republican Party is slowly uniting under its red banner, trying to accept John McCain.
Because his values don’t fall in line with the values that have dominated the party since the Cold War, McCain is not being welcomed with open arms? Simply, McCain is not a Neo-Conservative. And this is exactly what makes him dangerous.
As a conservative, he’s closer to the center than the far right. Good bye advocates of “WWJD”, hello, everyone else on the fence or independent.
The Democrats inner-party battle has more flair, and an end doesn’t appear to be in sight. As the debates get more vicious (and the other side gets more cannon fodder), people proudly declare themselves on the side of hope and change or experience, but not both.
“If my candidate doesn’t win, then I am not going to vote.”
“If my candidate wins, they will definitely win the big race so I don’t need to go to the polls. It’s inevitable.”
Uh-huh, tell that to Al Gore and John Kerry. Each of them lost by less than 1% and almost 70% of the population didn’t vote. If the two talking heads of the party are going to run together than do it already, if not then work on uniting the party.
By the way, as has been a topic of much discussion, I would love to see Condi run. She would essentially neutralize all the talk about race and gender. Maybe then we can actually discuss the issues.
This reality television show has been cute, but it’s time to be real. It would be no short of a miracle (of the Sea Splitting variety) for Clinton to get ahead in the delegate race at this point. The inclusion of Super Delegates means that in the end, the inner workings of the Democratic Party are going to have the final say anyway.
Pride, whether it’s on the side of the candidates, party or voters is going to destroy a “sure thing.” The Republicans don’t play nice or fair.
Believe me, the tune of this race is going to change as soon as the strings become visible on the promises being made by the Dems about universal health care (an overhaul still settling on a corporate foundation), withdrawal from the wars (not immediately), and an economic recession (it may take a few years).
Then there is Dubya, who stole both elections with staggering flare and has been getting his way ever since. He’s having a grand ol’ time smiling for the cameras while simultaneously doing everything in his power to keep us in Iraq and keep the money flowing.
In my lifetime, there have been three Republican Presidents out of four, and I’m still pissed off about the past eight years.
Wanna discuss the audacity of hope? The GOP can do it again. Don’t believe the fourth branch hype. There is more money, power and people who side with the “underdog” McCain in our corporately owned and run government than we have been led to believe.
Their strength is in their subtlety and making powerful moves quietly. We read about those in history books some years later.
“Made men ain’t supposed to make statements “ — Jay-Z
Something has to be done now or it’s going to be four more years of Republican non-sense. If the Dems don’t unite soon, every promise will mean nothing but television ratings and dreams of better days on the horizon of 2012!

I couldn’t follow the whole article but I agree when you say that the Democratic party really has to start coming together. I feel like it’s getting more and more gruelsome everyday between our candidates and the Republicans are sitting back enjoying seeing what’s going on. Eventually, that will only give them more power because people will get tired of the constant back and forth we are having in our party. I know it’s hard with all of Hillary’s bs not to get feelings of frustration and anger but we gotta be careful cause the Rep. are feeding off if it real nice..

Theres this saying that the Rep. Presidents mess everything up and then the Dems have to get elected to fix it up and then the cycle will continue…so im anticipating that the cycle will continue with a few added terms here and there….
This election is history in the making and everyone knows it… its like battle of the sexes with a race twist (sounds like a drink)…as much as the dems platform looks almost identical, once in office, their judgement will be a determining factor of how effecticve of a president they are…a black man and white woman do not think the same. It will be difficult to unite people when they want to help lead the country into a new area of progression…and are willing to fight tooth and nail to ensure their candidate leads that forward thinking…
I do agree that everyone should pay closer attention to the republican party…they do everything behind doors…or should i say at their country clubs/ golf courses…but they have been that way for years…its hard to be excited when everything seems so tied up on that side of the aisle as well…atleast with the Dems entertain the idea that “the power is in the people”

The Republicans are organized and they have an agenda! (DAMN them!) They’ve been executing it since the 80’s, while the Dems seem to have lost their way. I would like to get excited by this election but if its just about descriptive representation (which the media has manipulated), then we may find McCain in the White House come next January. He is, after all, the white guy.
