Hoodsnacks™
Hoodsnacks™ is a segment that pays tribute to and educates us on the many candies, cookies, chips, cakes, sodas, etc. that make life in the hood just a little sweeter.
I still remember when Flamin’ Hot Cheetos first came out. I’ve always been a Cheetos fan but when these came out, I was a little skeptical. For one, the shits were an atomic red color, which I wasn’t to sure about; two, at that point, potato chip companies didn’t have much success making hot chips (or at least ones the hood liked); three, I always preferred Cheetos Puffs over Crunchy.
When I first tried them, I could only afford a bag of chips and a soda for lunch. Risking my money on some new age, experimental, hot chips was a big risk. I opened the bag and the rest was history. From then on, you could find with a red tongue and red powder on my fingers, sucking down a Sunkist soda to cool my throat. And I forever lost my affinity for Puffs.
Did you know: One bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos contains 110 grams of fat, which is nearly twice the recommended daily intake. Add a Sunkist soda to the equation and it’s no wonder why the 13-years-old girls in the hood have bodies like aunties.

To hot for me. After a few of these things I can’t get what people see in them. Now I love the Cheetos crunchy. I try to stay away from those things now so I have replaced them with the baked regular chips or the Sun Chips. I guess I’m too old for all that spicy stuff. Love caramel popcorn.
I can imagine what all our foods are doing to the 13-year-old girls and boys. My daughter and her friends eat Hot Cheetos with cream cheese.

Regular Cheetos Crunchy I can’t really do. And yes, I did forget to mention the boys who are affected. Hot Cheetos with cream cheese is a hood favorite.

@ everyone RE: rapsnacks
I don’t know whether to hate on rapsnacks for being cheesy (not to mention having a terrible website) or love them for what they’re trying to do, in a business sense. I’m sure that just like any chip or cheese curl brand, rapsnacks’ products likely promote bad health, but check out the message at the bottom of the product page on starting your own business. Sure, the grammar isn’t all correct, but the message is right, pointing future entrepreneurs toward the Small Business Administration.
Trying to spread the message of progress and upward mobility to a class of people who are content ‘just getting by’ is the real path to sucess. It doesn’t matter your race; being an entrepreneur and an innovator is, while not the only way, an extremely effective way to take your life into your own hands. And if you can find something you love and make it your life, even better. That right there is the ticket to independence and happiness. Big ups to Master P on that one, even though I’m not about to be buying rapsnacks any time soon…

Rap Snacks “the official snack of hip-hop.” Please, the official snack of hip-hop gotta be nowlatas or something with clout.
I praise Percy for his entrepreneurship, but c’mon rap snacks is a corny attempt.
