Dash ‘08
Today, I’m officially endorsing Damon Dash for the President of Def Jam. If you don’t know his credentials please refer to his resume… Now that Jigga is gone, we need a leader who’s not afraid to produce Kevin Bacon films. But don’t just take my word for it. Instead, allow the crew over at The Real to convince you. Click here to see Damon Dash’s campaign ad.

Troublsome
Dame Dash definitely has my vote for president of Def Jam Recordings. I think that he held the biggest position in making Rock-a-fella what they built up to be. Of course, you had Hov who was the face, Biggs who was the currency, but then you had Dame who had all the business sense in the world and bigger than that had the balls to go out and make power moves. With records sells being down, I think that you need someone who is able to step out the norm of shit, and create a new innovative way to move units. However, bigger than that “Make Money.” Who else better than someone who is not afraid to produce Kevin Bacon Films. Jermaine Dupree could work, but i think he would be focused more on having his face seen, and voice heard on every song that the label would make… Dame Dash for President!

LOL @ the clip.
I could definitely see Dame in the driver’s seat at Def Jam. He might not be the most likable guy in the world, but at the end of the day you can’t deny the guy’s hustle and what he did during his days at The Roc and beyond. One thing’s for sure, there’d be no interference from the “suits” if Dame was in charge!

MERK
resume is dope no lie BUT…when record sales are low, i feel like u gotta attract a wider array of an audience. like Jim Jones and Juelz and Cam are like his running mates, so they gettin first dibs on everything and you know how them niggas is: same word rhymin and all the shit…this nigga was reluctant to sign Kanye…and look at him now…doin thangs for music setting new standards for hip hop and music in general. i also think hov aint on point either but he’s kinda doin a lil somethin somethin wit his Pop/RnB acts like rhianna and chris brown…we need some kinda hybrid for Def Jam
the Kevin Bacon films?…wow…Footloose 08…hahahaha
