They say behind every great man there’s a great woman. In Barack Obama’s case, Michelle has fed his ambition, offered her love and support, raised the girls, and most importantly, she supplies the “gangsta” to the first family.
Questions: Without Michelle, who would Barack be? Should the first lady be paid? Should she have a position in Barack’s cabinent. If so, what? Also, what star would have to align for Michelle to be considered a presidential candidate?
I try to maintain objectivity in my political articles. Even if I do a bad job, I do my best to present the facts in an unbiased manner, and only once they’ve been put down do I follow them with my personal opinions. But the more I read, research and think about the Proposition 8 debacle going on in California, the more I realize there is just no way I can present this subject in a calm and detached way. The whole thing is just so preposterous to me, so absolutely awful, so bigoted and prejudicial and – yes, I’ll say it – Un-American, that I simply cannot say anything about it that doesn’t sound angry. 
The adverse effects on Main St. from Wall St. leaves millions worried about their financial future and livelihood. People are returning their precious funds to the secure slot within their mattresses instead of storing it in a jeopardized financial institution. But, the location of an individual’s savings or the fate of his or her mortgage will not be the only expected change. The damage inflicted by this unforeseen crisis will also affect the personal relationships of those who dwell on Main St. 
Invariably, as we trek down the road to adulthood, we must bypass our inclination to pursue foolish puppy love, and reckless lust in favor of a more stable “adult relationship.” Gone are the days when we can merely “hookup” or “tap that,” as adults we become standard bearers to the ever important idealized American dream. 
A what-you-don’t-know-won’t-hurt-you attitude may have been acceptable 20 years ago, but it’s a new day and the things you don’t know can indeed hurt you. We always discuss the emotional aspects of cheating. But, what about the health risks? 
She’s your girl… She always has your back. She’s the person that you turn to when you have a problem. She’s the single person that knows all of your secrets. Yet, she’s your biggest competition. She’s your “Frenemy.” 
When two people get married and start a family there are no promises. There are no books or classes on how to make a marriage and a family work. We enter these relationships with high expectations but with few skills. We do the best we can, hoping things last and we live happily ever after. It all seems quite simple but we know there’s so much more. 
When was the last time you sat and watched a basketball game with your chick? When was the last time you’ve went outside and played basketball with your dude? When was the last time you went shopping with your girl and actually participated rather than complain about how tired you are? When was the last time you recall sharing excitement with your other half and exchanging dap? 
It is momentous in any relationship when a couple shares the three little words: I love you. It’s amazing how such a small saying can carry so much weight. When you’re a new-love bird, you say those 3 words all day, everyday. You can’t stop saying it. It is as close as you can get to describe how you feel. Well, what happens when you’re no longer a new lovebird…Is it ok for those 3 little words not to be said as often? What if they are only said to you after you’ve said them first?
