I love to read, which is funny to say now because I used to hate books. It’s also funny because although I get through tons of books, I’m an incredibly slow reader (shouts out to my public school education). When friends or colleagues ask me what’s my favorite book, they’re usually surprised by my answer. “Illmatic by Nas,” I tell them. “But it’s not a book, it’s a rap album,” they respond, as if I’m on some dumb shit.
