And The Story Goes
September 11 hits and the story begins. Chapter one: Islamic extremist want to kill us and we can’t let our guard down. Chapter two: The patriot Act is enacted so that according to you, the government can have legal grounds to defend against national security threats. Chapter three: You sell us two wars, which are intended to defeat the enemy on their turf so that we don’t have to fight them here. Chapter four: You run a campaign based on fear, saying that if anyone else is elected we run the risk of being attacked again. Chapter five: the terrorists call you and say they’re going home.
Funny, but its not an illogical assumption after the Associated Press reported this past week that the Bush administration wants to cut homeland security funding by more than half. According to reports, the plan would reduce grant money for states and cities from $3.4 billion this fiscal year 2007 to $1.4 billion in 2009.The proposed cuts would specifically draw monies from port and transit security programs across the nation.
How does this work George? You and your cronies were the main people selling the country on how the threat of terrorism is out their lurking, ready to swallow everything American. Now this. What is it George? Be straight with us. Is it that the White House decided it’s going to take a break from manufacturing fear? Is it because your presidency is coming to an end and if we are attacked at least it won’t be your fault? Or better yet, is it that you really just don’t give a damn?
Let’s get something clear. I don’t play the radical ends of the spectrum when it comes to the terrorism debate. You have one side that believes all of Islam is out to destroy America. These people don’t care whether our freedoms as American’s are scarified because the most important thing is to defend us against all the evil terrorist that are lurking in this country. And then you have the other side that fails to acknowledge that terrorism is real. These are the type that believes every threat is a conspiracy conjured up by the government to keep the American people in check.
Terrorism is real. Most Americans know it> America has its own long history of homegrown terrorist organizations (anybody ever heard of the Ku Klux Klan). Remember Oklahoma City.
But you know what else is real, people in government and business that use the threat of terrorism for their own selfish gains. I’m talking about the people who will raise the threat level from yellow to orange so that their politics of fear hold more weight. I’m talking about people that support any effort that will send us war because their companies supply the military.
What’s sad is that sometimes we don’t realize these are the same people.
Its exactly the same when religious radicals and radicals in government use violence or the threat of violence to instill fear in `everyday citizens.
I hope people recognize the stories being told and the games being played. Terrorism is the ultimate psychological game. What’s not a game is homeland security.

Terrorism IS A DEADLY GAME…but today it such a common term that people become de-sensitized to the true impact of it…we all are so frustrated and feel so helpless and would pay good money to know when the fuck is this shit going to end?
Since terrorism is a deadly game, homeland security is its accomplice in mind-fucking people…

Homeland sercurity is real. Just ask the fire fighters and EMS personnel that service us during times like September 11th. These jobs fall under the homeland security tag (too bad their funds are being played with). The way politician manipulate homeland security is the mind-fuck.

Terrorism has always been & always will be. It’s an invisible war, just like the imposibly ridiculous war on drugs. Simply a new plan to police us through gestapo tactics & gross invasions of privacy… all in the name of peace?
It all stems from the human lust for absolute power. In order to control the masses, one must carefully balance the scales of “fear” & “hope”. 9/11 provided our pompous nation with fear. Thus, paving the way for a plan to offer hope (i.e.- The war in Iraq & the war on terrorism).
Strangely enough, we have often found ourselves to be the financial contributors to the very regimes we battle. Be it direct empowerment, like Sadaam during our Iranian dilemmas in the 70’s & 80’s, or even how we dictate government policy & figure-heads like we did with Iran (which failed miserably!) and now with Iraq. This makes it easy to disregard the realities of terrorism. When we find ourselves a the root of our own fear, it’s difficult to find hope… unless you rationalize world history as an elaborate scheme of well positioned tragedies & more than convenient triumphs. Don’t worry, we meant to do that!
Homeland security??? To fight our own American brand of terrorists? To take on any & all would-be threats? How??? By listening to inocent civilian phone calls? By arresting each person “suspected” of terrorist threats? Check the net, extremist groups are thriving more than ever. Meanwhile, we become global bullies as our necessary emergency & protective services, like fire-fighters, suffer the blow-back.
Let soldiers be soldiers in a time & setting of war. If your crying out that war is here, on our own soil… then to you, my ears are rendered deaf. Try, if you can, to imagine life in modern Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Haiti, El Salvador, etcetera, then compare that to everyday life in America.
We have many issues to iron out, but our own evolving ignorance to them & our lack of ambition to correct them, may very well be the cause of this illustrious empire’s demise. As the absolutely corrupt occupants of our Oval Office grow more reminscent of those like Hussein & Hitler, what’s next? If they were supreme terrorists from our country’s perspective, then how will the rest of the world see us from their own? Are we just becoming the next tyrant in need of a good ass-whooping?
