TROUBL in San Fran
Words from Clyde: Clyde rode the bus from Texas to San Francisco, where part of his family lives. After jobs as a carpenter, store stocker, grocery clerk, janitor and landscaper, Clyde decided to give up working. Now he just hangs out…
“I just got fed up with work. I like what I’m doing now—doing my thang. Just being myself, having fun,” Clyde told me. “Sometimes you have your days when its rough, when you just don’t want to do nothing. Don’t get along with nobody or nothing. Its hard out here, believe me, it’s hard.”
“For the people who’ve had a silver spoon in their mouth (sigh), they don’t know the feeling.”

Hey TROUBLMAN,
Thank you for giving our brother a voice!!!! Homelessness has been around for many years, although the current views on the homeless are very different than the views society has had on them in the past. In years gone by, homelessness has been considered a normal, acceptable way of life. However, the lives of the homeless in the past were rather different than the lives of the homeless in our society today.
Shoot, I’m homeless and I got a job!!!! LOL
Statistically speaking —— most Americans are 2 paychecks away from homelessness. Ya heard?!?!?!

This is what TROUBL is all about. We may mix some lighter topics in their to attract people who the critical issues intimidate, but at the end of the day, TROUBL is for the unheard voices in society.
I feel you on the two paychecks stat. My Landlord called me this week to tell me my rent check bounced. I’m alive though, so I’m blessed.

These are people I see everyday.
Hey guys “A Mom” just got laid off of her job of many many years, so I know “That by the grace of God go I”
Like I said in another post. When I look into Clydes eyes I see me. Everyday I realize how blessed I am. My faith is the main reasons I know I will be alright and my children who keep me holding my head up when I’m feeling low. The other thing is Troubl.
Shout out!

AL!
Ay go holler at my boy California Red in the TL on up to Union Square. Can’t miss him…always playing the guitar with a plastic spoon for people. Over around Mason and O’Farrell a lot playing for tourists. Dude got a beautiful soul, you can hear it when he sings. His story is worth being told…

Mann,
i think i seen this dude before!
naw, i dunno but would i really know it if i did?
a LOT of times, i feel fucked up for how i don’t help out homeless people sometimes.. i got couple dollars left over from my food that i just got from the Burger King drive through, but when is the next time i’ma need money to feed myself? i can’t be sure if i give away my change..
i’m not tryna justify not helping out the dude or anything but my point goes back to another question i asked about being human..
is it ever really wrong to put one’s self first?
could you consider the bum outside that drive-thru doing the same thing as me by looking out for himself by asking for MY change?
he’s tryna get his eat/drank/smoke/snort/inject on too..
can my future food be better than his soon coming food/beer/rock/line/etc?
but i’m usually in a generous mood.. i’m blessed and i don’t mind sharing my blessings with those around me..

This has nothing to do with a silver spoon. This dude just gave up working. He is a bum! Don’t ask me for a dollar!

You’re right he did just give up work. But regardless he represents a population of people who we never hear from. Whether we agree with him or not we need to hear what’s on his mind…
I’m glad you’re critical. Some people are on the streets because they choose to be. Either way, I wanna know their stories

We never hear from these people becasue they chose not to be apart of society. Me personaly I don’t care what someone has to say if they won’t even try. You can’t have an opinion on something you are not apart of.

O.K. some of these people choose to be where they are but I feel the larger majority either are mentally ill or down on their luck. Maybe I’m wrong but it is not mine to judge.
