Sex is Politics
In light of NY Governor Spitzer’s resignation, and the constant stream of politicians caught with their pants around their ankles, I need a bit of clarification on the rules of the game we peep and play. Let’s forget love for a minute so that we can get to the bottom of this.
1. I can wine and dine a girl. I can drop tens to thousands of dollars on gifts, take her on expensive trips, or even pay her rent. I am doing all of this so that at the end of the night, my eyes will roll back and my toes will curl. But, let’s say I don’t have the time for romance (or just lack the vital social skills to access some ass). I got things to do, I’m busy spending 80 hours a week working for cash that gets spent in a weekend. So, instead of all of that business, I just hit her with cash in hand and get my nut real quick. We go our separate ways satisfied, she’s out of my house and I am eating a sandwich while catching up on my Tivo. When does a courting ritual become prostitution?
2. I am dating a freaky chick who loves the camera. We turn on the night vision but decide that the quality sucks so we get ourselves a better instrument to capture the cinematic magic. We are both cool with it all, and open enough to allow others to view us doing our thing. After all, people might want to take notes while class is in session. When exactly do we cross the line to distributing pornography? And, why isn’t a porn star a prostitute? It’s well known that the more famous stars become multi-millionaires. Porn makes up over 90% of all film sold in the US per year.
3. Yes, I know that morality plays a role when you are a public servant and you cheat on your spouse. But, what does your private life have to do with doing your job? Anybody else cool with being fired, regardless of how much or little you have accomplished, based on your personal infidelity? Whose business is it, but yours and your family’s.
4. Why don’t we legalize, or at least decriminalize, prostitution already. I know that people may have some moral qualms with this one but let’s be practical. It is the oldest profession in the world. It is definitely one of the simplest and can be done by anyone. It happens regardless of whether it’s legal or not. The major difference in its decriminalization would be on the side of women who choose this lifestyle. They would get regular testing, be ensured their safety in an establishment, receive benefits, and bolster the economy. Best of all, our tax dollars could be better spent regulating real sexual misconduct, like pedophilia (which a particular so-called moral/ religious institution is in balls deep, literally).
5. Bottom line: Let’s stop legislation in the bedroom of two consenting adults. It’s a private matter, our political representatives have no place between our sheets.

I concur with number five; as long as an elected official does the job he or she pledged to do, that’s all that should matter.

I have a friend that quotes ” He has to pay a pussy bill” I would always laugh and say that he was stupid. Cause he would go to the point where he would just meet a girl, and say can I pay a bill? I would laugh at him in the sense of me calling him a simp. He answer to me was you do the same thing as me, but just don’t look at it that way. He said you probably take a girl to the movies, dinner, bowling, and spend countless hours of conversation with a girl compared to my thrity seconds of asking can I pay a bill? He told me his answer comes in 30 seconds, and that mine may come in a few months, and a few thousand dollars later! Picture That…

A quick note: Though these questions were posed from a male point of view in some cases, they can be applied to everyone regardless of gender, sexual orientation, etc.

well said Terry!!…
but you know very well that in Governor Spitzer’s case… he ended up being the pot that called the kettle black! He was ruthless in upholding the laws that he himself was breaking….

Bill Clinton got re-elected after his Monica L affair. I do agree with the facts that If your doing a good job in office, why should people care what you do when you are not on the job. But. When you are affecting other people and breaking laws that’s a different story. His sex scandel is far less important to me than other laws he has broken. Now losing his job over the sex. No! If that is the reason than more than half of the people in office should be out of work. Now when he uses monies that are not his to use and does other thing that affect others. I say yes he needs to be out. What bothers me in this country is greed. People using our money for their pleasure.

TROUBLSOME——-
It sounds like you have some wack ass friends! ((although it does answer a few questions)) Be careful, you know what they say, “niggaz of a feather”……..and all that - pause…
I can put him in touch with some gold diggers who would be more than happy help him TRICK off his money. Then they can all be shallow together - and level the playing field for those of us who are little deeper than that.
Jesus, please tell me there’s more to life than this! I can’t hold on much longer. I want to believe the best in people, but my faith is growing weak…….

I agree that Spitzer is a hypocrite and should be held accountable, though I am not sure where the $80,000 came from. If he pulled a Guiliani and it can from the taxpayers then he deserves everything that he gets.
