Commander

commander.jpgAt this point I’m ready to declare a vote Hillary Clinton a vote for George W. Bush.
Even though I was at odds with Clinton when she voted to give the Bush Administration the permission to go to war, I forgave her. But now I’ve officially given up on Clinton. I mean really, this whole 3 a.m. ad nonsense seems like they pulled this tactic right out of the Karl Rove goody bag.

Peep the ad. I love how the production is so scary yet so patriotic (listen to the music). Does the Clinton campaign really think we believe that a vote for Obama makes America less safe? Why because his spouse was never President? How does that qualify anyone?

Just like Bush, Clinton is packaging fear and selling it as patriotism. Terrorism is what it is and America shouldn’t accept it?

The type of commander–in-chief America needs is one who won’t use the same scare tactics that she is claiming to protect us from. The type of commander-in-chief we need is one who won’t sacrifice his party’s future for the sake of his own candidacy. I need a commander-in-chief that won’t stoop so low to scare me into believing that she is the reason why my kids are safe.

Barack Obama may not have the experience Hillary claims to have, but he has something more important—integrity. And when it comes to being a leader, integrity is the most important characteristic. Integrity is what makes a general’s soldiers want to fight, believing their leader will fight with them. Its also what makes young people want to vote.

Realize what it took to defy political wisdom when he voted against the war. And realize what it’s taking to now, defying typical politics by not responding with his own smear ad.

  1. From day one Obama has showed nothing but integrity and that was the first word that came to me when I started watching his campaigns. He has always kept it clean and has never tried to gain popularity by putting others down. Clinton on the other hand had used that tactic over and over convincing people that she is the better candidate. I was shocked and laughing when I saw the commercial. I mean what a childish way to gain votes. Personally, I think people were able to see right through that commercial and all the other nonsense she’s been pulling lately and they know she’s doind this because she knows it’s getting pretty close to the end of the road for her. I mean who brings a little childs life into it and threatens the US that by voting for another candidiate our children are not gona be safe. I hope people will be able to recognize the difference between manipulation and integrity becuase her manipulation game is pretty high up there..

Well lets face it people… its getting down to the nitty-gritty and shes trying anything she can to gain a lead…shes trying to focus on particular isues to pull in those moderates and independents and lets not forget shes going after texas/ohio too and they love that patriotic-lets-protect-America-at-any-cost-bullshit out there…its sad because everyone was so sure that she would be the democratic nominee but the people have spoken…shes loosing support left and right but I have to give it to her-shes not going down without a fight…

A love and admiration grows in my heart for Obama because of everything he is and everything that he represents..OBAMA 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

sheeit, i didn’t even get the ad when it first came on.. i was like “what is this?”.. it didn’t make sense.. i went down my marketing handbook to figure out exactly what she was trying to say with the commercial.. i was looking for subliminal messages.. something.. cuz the whole “feeling safe” thing wasn’t working for me.. at 3am, there ain’t nothing a President can do to make me feel safe when it all actuality i’m not safe..

let’s be real for a second.. somebody breaks into my house at 3am, do i get to call the President? is she going to send Air Force One my way? seriously.. and if we were at war at 3am, am i really losing sleep? sheeit, if i was, then i’m going to the doc to get me some Ambien CR or something.. the bottom line is that if something is wrong during the middle of the night, i ain’t calling nobody but 911 (although that’s a joke, too)..

then i started to flip it to be like “momma will save me”.. then i was like *cough* bullshit.. Momma has a way of making me feel secure too, but at 3 am, even if i was 8, my instincts would have me trying to save Momma, rather than having Momma save me.. but i know a whole bunch of people that would be looking for Daddy to come home, or the big brother..

all in all, as a marketer, i give this ad 2 thumbs down.. in the words of Mos Def on “Real Time with Bill Maher”, fuck that, shit is wack..

Now Slick willies wife comes off as this super strong woman-Global dictatorish. Actually look at the policies that she supported-says it all.

NO ONE WANTS ANOTHER BUSH CLINTON-REGIME change…They probably all related..yes that was , some hate, hate, hate but there is some truth in there somewhere

  5. I’m excited to see what happens. As you probably can tell, I’m for Obama, but it’s crazy because I think Clinton may actually win today. If so, I fear that the Democratic party is headed toward its end.

If she think the poison she calls politics is worth what she’s doing to her party than so be it. I’m not a registered Democrat. But what I fear is that if she wins, she’ll turn off a lot of voters come general election time.

And in terms of how she stacks up with McCain, they’re way to similar to drive masses of liberals to the polls.

  6. My pastor is always staying. Quote: The Lord put Bush there for a reason.
I”m still trying to figure that out. But maybe the reason is for us to come to our senses about our country. So now I’m praying that the Lord puts Obama in the White House for a reason to make us see what really needs to be done for our country after the Bushes move out.

Integrity may very well be the most relevant issue to the voters. But is it enough? I question the ability to maintain integrity in party politics. The “Super Delegates” mean one thing: that in the end, all of this caucus/primary business has been great for News Networks tapping into Reality TV, but these votes by the people are polite suggestions. It is ultimately the Democratic Party that decides.

If Clinton wins enough support tonight to remain in the race, how much in fighting is going to continue to occur in the Democratic Party? The GOP is all but setting up their game plan behind McCain. Do the Democrats really want to continue this process of division? The way I see it, they will have problems re-uniting the party when its most crucial. When people feel disenfranchised because they did not get their way, they don’t show up at the polls (don’t believe for a second that people will just be satisfied with whoever the party picks, thats just way too reasonable). Think about how many times you have heard someone talk about who they would vote for instead if “their” candidate doesn’t win. There are a lot of people who are for either Obama or Clinton, not necessarily the Democratic Party itself.

People talk about wanting the Republicans out of office, but don’t sleep on ‘em, EVER. They won/stole the last two that were supposed shoo-ins for the “liberal” party. Letting this race go on at its current tone of viciousness just isn’t smart. If I were on the “neo-conservative” side, I would hope that they fight until people get bitter enough to cast their ballots everywhere but where they are most effective. Let it be over, let the healing and love begin.

  8. I don’t think about getting the Republicans out of office as much as I say get Bush out. There are good and bad in each party. But if I had to vote for someone out of my party. It would surely be the person I think really had the country in mind. Unfortunately there has not been a choice in sometime, but If Obama was in a different party and was showing me what he is showing me now. I would vote for him. I have voted out of my party for Major of my city before because I simply didn’t believe in the person who was running at the time.

I’m really dissapointed in Clinton for that. What’s worst is that the people have awaken, so the fear tactics no longer scare them in my opinion, at least not like it use to. Another reason it’s bad is because even if they did believe that, they would just give that vote to a Republican no matter who it was. It’s just a sign that the end is near.

You must still vote. Change will happen even if Obama doesn’t get the nod. You and Troubl are the change we need not just a Presidental. Our countries value doen’t rely on one person. We are the change that is needed.

I understand what you are saying, but I am not a fan of Cliton and I really don’t like McCain. I am not going to vote just for the sake of voting. If my vote counts I want it to count with someone I believe in.

I know how you feel. But your vote is a win for Obama. Mark my word and don’t give up. “A Mom” knows best.

They are going to cheat him anyway. There is no way she can win unless she sweeps with like and 80-20 split. It will come down to the superdelegates and we all know what that means.

There’s a war going on. It’s for our minds. The enemy profits from our ignorance and apathy. We fight back. Our philosophy: question what we’ve been taught, examine society and create a community that teaches and inspires collective action.
