Oh yes! My daughter is addicted. And yes she changes her page more than she changes her underwear. My computer is loaded with pictures etc. for her my space. I wish she could put that attention into her dirty room. But you know this is where the world has been headed for sometime now. At least she is not on the streets hanging out. She is in school and working and the rest of the time she is on the computer or cell phone. Every once in a while she will give me some quality time and we will watch dvd’s together “Martin” episodes are our favorite.

I think it has alot to do with our obsession of celebrities and the lime light. I might be wrong, but it’s kinda sickening to see how quick someone will jump on the internet just wanting to check their myspace page. I’ve been there and done that when BlackPlanet.com ruled for the time being. I have a page myself, but I only use it to catch up with old friends and to share my art work with the rest of the world. What I have witnessed is that people are very eager for attention on my space. Is it because of the lack of attention they get everyday or is it an underground dating service for some? I see alot of people online who use myspace.com as an attention getter by using their revealing pictures and alter ego’s as a take off point. MySpace is… hot, if you wnat to use those words. But I’m still searching and eager to know whats so damn hot about it… PUZZLED

I agree. Most of the Myspace addicts I know are looking for attention. It’s evident looking at their pages. They’re the type dudes that post pictures of them standing in the mirror with their shirt off. They’re the type of females who post bathing suit and other raunchy fliks. They’re the people change profile pics daily. It’s kinda sad but maybe its a good thing also that Myspace is the only way some people find love. If love is what you call exchanging virtual notes.
