Bury Bonds Pt.2*
Why should an asterisk be attached to Barry Bonds record when the pitchers throwing him the ball were juiced up also? Major league baseball needs an asterisk next to its logo.
According to a 20-month investigation, led by former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell, every major league team has had a player involved. ( Here’s a summary of the report’s findings.)
“For more than a decade there has been widespread anabolic steroid use,” Mitchell said.
So while the media has focused on Barry Bonds, they’ve missed the real story—the fact that professional baseball overlooked widespread steroid use because the home runs that it produced helped sell tickets.

They’re all being called on the carpet at some point. Check the Top Story on Yahoo today. The only reason Bonds seems to be getting picked on most is because he’s the biggest name in baseball.

I just read about Clemens,I always was suspicious of him, he’s soooooo old and keeps on going! Mark McGuire was juiced to and he has a highway namedafter him, in St. Louis and don’t forget how Palmerro lied to Congress.

Bud Selig needs an asterisk next to his name.

That report is the tip of the iceberg. I bet the number of users is easily 2-3 times higher than what we’ve seen. But, that’s just the modern player… going back what about liquor, weed, uppers, spitballs, scuffed balls, corked bats and whatever else people used for an edge? As long as there have been sports there have been people cheating for an edge. This is an era, put it and ALL of it’s players in context, move on.

I don’t want to make this a race issue… But I can’t find a way to do so due to the fact that Barry is attracted to “others” and does not have many nigga tendantcies besides being an athlete. The media is always trying to find flaws about those that they focus the spot light on. Because Barry sold tickets and was on Sports Center damn near every 2 to 3 days, whether it was because he kill’t one over 400 feet or simpy because a pitcher did not want to do his job and pitch to the dude, they had to dig deeper into his personal life and try to strip his title as they did with Ali and his belt after he disageed to go to Vietnam. People’s Champ. To cushion the blow to baseball’s new record holder, they decided to look into other athletes which I feel was a scapegoat to try and make it seem like it’s fair. I don’t believe anglosaxon America was ready to once again crown an African American Homerun King– There I go making it a race issue… sorry ya’ll, but I tried. It was already too much for them to handle when Hank Aaron, I think it was, who surpassed the “Babe” and his accomplishments. What ever happened to Mark McGwire that got the hell on after he and Sosa had that CRAZY year!?! I remember when cuzzo played for the A’s and looked just the same size as the average baseball player? Him and Canseco left OAK-TOWN and got swol on motha fuckas!!! Right after McGwire got the record, he bounced. He announced his retirement! Talk about quitting while you’re ahead. Ol’ Sammy had got caught in the middle of a game with a corked bat that had broke on him while hitting an easy in field out. Man were they on his ass about that. You aint heard from that dude since. Is he even still even playing? So even though Barry has an asterisk next to his name amd his record, let’s not ever forget about ol’ Cardinal Boy, Mark McGwire (who happens to be Anglsxon) who must have had a steller work out plan to get that big… LOL
