Black Girl Lost
Growin up seein it, it should remind you, you bein lied to; Everything that move be inside you; Sacred as you are, left with these wannabes to guide you; I watched you, hard to knock you, I tried not to; They spot you out dancin topless in your drawers; Damn look, there goes a black girl lost

"A Mom"
There are a lot of young girls out here stuggling with these issues. I think it’s all about self and how we look at us. How not only what we think of us but what we think about each other. Someone special to me is dealing with these issues. Love her so much, but trying not to be co-depent. Want her to find herself and not hold on to tight, and protect her too much, so that she won’t become that “Black Girl Lost.” Sometimes you can make a person worse when you protect them too much. I know what my job is, but doing it is the hardest thing that has ever happen to me. After all I just “A Mom.”
