American Dreaming

Written by: Cypher

We would be wise to remember, that throughout the ages super powers have come and super powers have gone—every single one of them. In fact, the question is not if, but rather when.

Ancient people like the Mayans have long foreshadowed the reoccurrence of events during different periods of time. And though I’m no Nostradamus, I’ve noticed some troubling parallels between our country and the fall of the Roman Empire.

Realize that at the height of the Roman empire, Rome had territories in modern France, Britain, Spain, North Africa, and the Middle East. We don’t occupy such a wide range of territory, but share other similarities such as, influence, riches, power, slaves, corruption, the eagle as its’ patriotic symbol and most importantly, rich ruling families who abuse their power for their own selfish gain. These factors ultimately contributed to the Roman Empire collapsing under its own weight. Could this be America’s time?

Damn homie. You want America to fall just for the sake of a reality check? Not me! Yes, I have issues with the way the corrupt muthafuckas in power get down, but I love the people who embody the true American spirit and grind. My goal is to build, not destroy.

Destroy this shit. Come anew. You can build…RE-build. What’s wrong with that?

“True American spirit” What exactly is that? I, personally, don’t have American spirit. I’m just in America. My spirit is somewhere in the clouds, away from all this bullshit.

Rome Fell Because Of Greed, Power And War To Name A Few Reasons! It Appears That America May Be Headed In The Very Same Direction.

As much as I hate to agree, I do. I watch people just complain and don’t do anything about anything. We sit back and let the congress do whatever they want. We don’t realize what they are not doing is the biggest problem this country has. We are following a destructive path history repeats itself over and over. Greed is definitely the downfall of this country. We are no longer a democracy by the people and for the people our elections are orchestrated by the media and apathy contributes to the loss of our democracy. Circuses are already here. The US dollar is tanking. What more is there to say ?

I partially agree, Rome fell because of a fire that destroyed a city, which led to anarchy which led to their destruction. So no I don’t think the U.S will catch fire and fall like Rome, however, I do believe all societies will fall, given enough time. Maybe we are falling faster and with more force than many, but all will fall none the less.

Could America’s financial woes and its position in the world be a symbolic fire. As the east rises, I see America becoming more and more desperate.

“Symbolic fire?” TM, this ain’t poetry class. We talking about actually flames and cinder, brimstone and hell fire-like. :1. Yeah, the tide is changing in world economics. We just borrowed money from China to get us out of debt–for which we’re still in. It’s funny how our initial investments/outsourcing to companies was for profit, now that move is biting us in the ass.

“Home Sweet Home” won’t be a sweet home in a minute. Finally…we Americans are some arrogant creatures.

As much as I hope that this will not happen, with the moral and spiritual decay we have in our country today, I am afraid that this is a great possibility.

Yes, in fact our fall has already began. There was a bill (can’t remember what it is called at the moment) that Bush signed that will join our country with Canada and Mexico to for something similar to the European Union. When that happens all of the boarders will be opened for people to move into the US (but get this) Americans still won’t be able move to Mexico or Canada without going through the legal system and our laws will be determined by Canada and Mexico. The only way that we can get out of it is if we pay both Mexico and Canada over $1,000,000,000,000 (no that isn’t a mistake, it really a is one trillion dollar fine) each before the date comes that we officially join. So Bush has already signed away our country.

I’ll move to either place. Canada is a beautiful country, and Mexico should be pretty empty by now because they’re all here.

Viper, is that true? That bill is on legislation? Even if it is, doesn’t mean it is going to pass. And it further represents the stupidity of our First Officer. If anybody needs to fall, it needs to be him. Unfortunately, he is willing to take the entire country down with his fall. Fucked up ain’t it?

Yes. All great civilizations eventually fall. If you look back over history all great and powerful civilizations have fallen once they reach their peak. The US is no exception. But we will go on and be fine.

The difference between Rome and America is that now we are way more civilized. If we disagree with the way things are run, we vote on it, we don’t rebel. In olden days, things may have been similar, but we have far higher morals.

Malia reply on June 17, 2008 1:12 pm:

Yeah right!!!! We don’t have higher morals! Same-sex couples began marrying yesterday in courthouse ceremonies across California…how do we have higher morals? I’m not judging, I’m just telling you from a moral standpoint we have sunk to where it’s basically a FREE FOR ALL…..please don’t bring morals into this. Have you seen some of these websites? Child pornography at an all time high? Beastiality??? (( I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT WAS)) Yea, our moral compass is BROKEDOWN AND BUSTED!

The US won’t go with a bang, but with a whimper. Just like Britain’s greatness passed quietly. Countries work hard to compete with the then world power, once they achieve greatness they start to relax and live the good life. They pay themselves more than they can afford, they take too much leisure and they stop working so hard. This gives the emerging nations a chance to catch up and, eventually, achieve world dominance themselves. If you want to see America’s successors look to the tigers in the east……….

If you look at the debt the americans are accumulating and the hatred towards them from accross the world. I think they will soon fall. If China wants they can hurt the states and make them fall worse then the roman empire. All china has to do is take out the 26 trillion dollars american, from there reserves and this will surely distroy the american economy and it will lead to its downfall!

mrschocolatestuff reply on June 17, 2008 1:21 pm:

Yes - it is inevitable that at some point the peak of our power cycle will start to fall. Throughout history there have been periods of hegemony where one nation lords over all others and in each case it is different. Before us it was the English and their Navy, and before them it was the Dutch.

China could destroy the US financial system if they wanted but it would also screw them equally. Have you ever heard a variation of this theme - If you owe the bank $10 million, they own you BUT if you owe the bank $300 billion then you own the bank. This is the situation we are in now. Everything is so interconnected that without the United States driving the consumer buying from the developing countries like China - then everything would cease to be. Very tenuous and at some point in the future, the developing countries will become the new world leaders.

After all, if you look at history then progress and dominance moves West.

Yes–all empires fall eventually, and the U.S. has begun its descent. The question is: how big a bang will it make when it collapses? How will it affect the rest of the world, and who will take their place?

  13. I think the notion of a America falling is romantic. It comes from books and movies. America’s fall will look nothing like Rome’s. America will become less of a stand alone superpower and eventually fade into the world government that is on its way. Can anyone say “New World Order.”

You really scare me TM…you really do…….

The rise of the one-world government of the AntiChrist is beginning to take its shape as early as now. Its form is hidden in the emerging New World Order. The New World Order is established by the Elite of the Elites consists of the Fourth Reich of the SuperRich/the Lords of Money/ the International Bank Cartels/the Secret Societies/the Broherhood and the Order/the Committee of the 300 Billionnaires of the World including the Power Elite of 13 Old Line Families through the years.

This group envisions a one world banking system and currency that will give in to a cashless computer financial system, one world centralized control of global population, global control of the world’s environment, economy, trade and army. They have already made a giant step. The year was 1945, when they drafted and created the United Nations.

These men have unbelievable power and they have spelled out their agenda in advance. That global agenda is constructed around six goals. It is amazing to know that they are following exactly what the Spirit of God wrote in the Bible almost 2000 years ago.

Goal #1 : The establishment of international economic order (cashless society)

Goal #2: The establishment of a one-world government

Goal #3 : The conquest and subjugation of two super powers (USA and USSR)

Goal #4: The ascension of the United States of Europe as the dominant nation in a

    Confederated one-world government

Goal #5: The ushering in of a supreme world leader to preside over the new unified

    One-world government

Goal #6 : The establishment of a one-world religion which will coordinate all the

world’s religions, cults, faith groups and spiritual beliefs under the guidance

    of Supreme Pontiff

    The Rise of the AntiChrist

You really need to quit playin’ TM…it’s all coming sooner than you think. Are you really down for that?

Considering the leadership we have, this may very well be our time to fall. The direction this country has been being ran in for the last 2 presidential terms does not take into account the scores of people who are living less than paycheck to paycheck but rather those who are well established. For the life of me I can not understand the thought process behind borrowing money to fight a war that no longer has the same significance or the same threat while at the same time allowing this country to go down the tubs in so many arenas.

There’s a war going on. It’s for our minds. The enemy profits from our ignorance and apathy. We fight back. Our philosophy: question what we’ve been taught, examine society and create a community that teaches and inspires collective action.
